Our Main Campus is on the east side in the City of Weslaco on the northeast corner of Expressway 83 and FM 1015. The City of Weslaco is located about 112 miles south of the Kingsville Campus, in the Rio Grande Valley. Weslaco is centrally located between Harlingen (18 Miles) and McAllen (19 miles), two of the Valley's larger cities. Just to the east is the city of Mercedes (3 miles), home to the RGV Premium Outlets Shopping Center. The Valley's largest city, Brownsville, is located about 43 miles east of Weslaco. Weslaco is also located only 58 miles from the beaches of South Padre Island.
The Mexico cities of Nuevo Progreso (7 miles), Reynosa (33 miles) and Matamoros (44 miles) are also nearby.
South Farm Research
South Farm is a citrus research area consisting of about 250 acres located 2 miles south of the main Weslaco Campus.
North Farm Research
North Farm is another citrus research area, consisting of about 50 acres located 18 miles north of the main Weslaco Campus in Monte Alto just north of the city of Elsa.
